Objects:
The objects for which the Sapt Sindhu Foundation Trust is established are-
(1) To collect and disseminate the knowledge acquired by study, research and actions through documentation, publications, exhibitions, newsletters, posters, films and slide-shows, puppetry, workshop, training programmes and other appropriate forms of mass and group communication of policy as well as the planning and implementation of development and educating programmes and activities
(2) To undertake research and publication programmes of reference works, glossaries, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, fundamental texts in the arts, humanities and cultural heritage of Himalayan states and Sapt Sindhu area.
(3) To establish folk arts collections for undertaking, promoting and facilitating systematic scientific studies in this area of Himalayan states and Sapt Sindhu area.
(4) To provide a forum for creative and critical dialogue among the diverse arts, languages of Himalayan states and Sapt Sindhu area through performances, exhibitions multi-media projections, conferences, seminars, workshops.
(5) To evolve models of research programmes and administration of arts, culture and literature more pertinent to the Indian ethos and realty,
(6) To promote awareness of and sensitivity to the historical and cultural interaction and Interlinkages between Himalayan provinces and Himalayan states, of art, literary and cultural traditions and through this endeavour to promote national goodwill and peace.
(7) To facilitate and promote systematic scientific understanding of the formative and dynamic factors in the complex web of cultural interaction between diverse communities, regions, social strata etc., and to make through this endeavour a strong rational base for mutual understanding of the role of different cultures and traditions in promoting fundamental values of human welfare such as tolerance, cooperation, aesthetic enrichment, etc.
(8) To make efforts of bridge the gap in the intellectual understanding between to modem science on the one hand and the arts, culture, traditional skills and knowledge on the other people of Himalayan states and Sapt Sindhu area.
(9) To develop linkages with other national and international centres of arts and culture and to affiliate with universities and other academic organisation of higher leaming of research in art, humanities and cultural heritage.
(10) Indexing, cataloguing and processing for multi-media storage and retrieval of the sources materials using modern electronic technology
(11) Provide opportunity and forum for creative expression, demonstration, discussions and encounters between and amongst the different art forms through literature, theatre and media etc.
(12) To establish educational institutions, libraries.
(13) To facilitate research projects regarding the history, art and culture, languages, scripts and archaeological studies of Sapt Sindhu and Jambudweep.
(14) To facilitate skill development activities, courses and programs.
(15) To print, publish, exhibit books, pamphlets, periodicals and journals desirable for promotion of the objectives of the Trust.
(16) To encourage cooperative movement in hilly areas.
(17) To establish Shri Brahma Datt Shastri Pustkalya.
